New Car

So I have a new lease on life. I am all about making smarter decisions and trying new things. So last month I gave in to my parents relentless pushing and went turkey hunting. Well I got one. It was more fun than I thought it would be. I don't think I have seen my dad more excited about a dead bird. I don't know that I would go again but it was defiantly fun. Most of you already know but for those of you that don't, I have a form of Lupus that effects my skin so no more sun. So the cute little convertible I ordered a year ago was not really going to work for me. When I got the email that my car was going to be delivered in 15 days I was worried. I called the dealer ship and they had the exact same car in a hard top. So 4 days later it was mine. It is so cute and fun and little and red and mine! lol. After that I had to take my totally eco friendly car grocery shopping with my totally eco friendly bags. Look how many bags I can fit! In a nut shell I am so completely content with 2009 thus far. How is your year going?
P.S. Just got a wicked promotion at work!!!!

Medical Woes

Just a quick little note. My grandpa had 6 mini strokes two weeks ago and ended up having to get his artery cleaned out. He is home now and doing fantastic. Me on the other hand. I have had this weird little circular rash on my face for a month and a half now. I went to my regular Dr. 3 weeks ago and they diagnose it as ring worm. They gave me a cream and told me if it didn't go away in a week see a Dermatologist. SO. I went to my derm. and he didn't know what it was ether so he took a biopsy of it and now I have stitches and a big red ring on my face. Oh and did I mention they still don't know what it is.
P.S. to all the moms of little ones: don't let your kids play with other kids hair. You never know what is lurking in their.

This post is for a good friend of mine. His name is "Goose". We have been friends for 11 years and we've been through a lot together. We first met when I moved back to Salt Lake. I started school at Liberty Elementary and he became one of my first friends at the new school. We were not always close, till he moved away during our sophomore year. He hated his new school so bad that we talked our parents in to letting him move in with us. Well it never came to that he moved in with a family member but we were still close. One night we stayed up till 3 in the morning making a dozen pink glittery fairy wands to give to his girl friend for Prom. Well shortly after that we had a falling out do to the fact that his girl friend hated me, but two years later we reconnected and have keep in touch ever since. Well in mid September he informed me that he had joined the National Guard and would be leaving in April for 2 years.  So being the little party planner I am, I through him a going away bash.

So this is for him. Good Luck! We're going to miss you very much!

P.S. Crystal and I made the cake and it totally rocked!

My life in a crazy nut shell

So let me start by saying "WHAT A CRAZY 3 WEEKS". It all started the last week in February it was our first anniversary on the 28th, and just like me I forgot. Well I didn't really forget I just didn't think it was so soon. So I was really surprised when I asked if I could go to Moab he said "Didn't you have any plans for us this weekend?" No of corse not why would I....... Oh right. So after all that we decided that I would go considering he had to work all day Saturday any way. I need to explain my family and I are extremely involved in The National Wild Turkey Federation. So our trip to Moab was to help with another committee and their fund raiser. While we were their my mom and dad made me hike up to Delicate Arch. Let me just say that was 3 miles of pure H***, but totally worth it.
When I got home Josh had bought me flowers and we had steak and lobster for dinner and it was a great first anniversary. A nice end to a great first year. So the next weekend was our banquet and it was a big success. We raised over $20,000. The next Friday I had to drive to American Fork for work to do a presentation at a hair school. I did a hair cut on my cute little client that lives in Lehi, her name is Hallie. Then I showed the power point that I created that talks about my work and why I love what I do.
The next day at my work we had a big open house to show off our party room. I got a chance to meet Larry and Cookie, the creators of Cookie Cutters. We did over 90 hair cuts and I personally did 22. Needles to say I can finally relax.

Celine Dion

AHHH!!! Now that I got that out of the way. My mom and I finally got to see Celine Dion in concert. After 12 years of waiting. We always wanted to go to Vegas but never go around to it so when we found out she was coming to Salt Lake we jumped on it, well my dad did. November 2007 tickets went on sale and my dad bought 2 tickets for my mom and me. We thought we would be going to the concert November 2008 but it was postponed till February 22, 2009. We almost forgot till my grandpa reminded us. So we were off. Let me just tell you when the music started and we saw her walk out I lost it. I started to cry because I have been waiting for so long and I was finally here. I know o am kinda a lame o but I cant help it. So here are our pic.
